From deal work to workflow design
A short note on why finance, operations, and software often become the same work.
A lot of operational work is really workflow design.
In private equity and startup environments, the work often starts as analysis: understand the business, model the economics, find the bottlenecks, and decide what matters. But the useful output is rarely just a deck or a model. The useful output is a better operating loop.
That loop might be a reporting cadence, a decision process, a small internal tool, or an AI-assisted workflow that removes repeated coordination cost.
That is why the boundary between finance, operations, and software keeps getting thinner. Good work identifies the decision, instruments the inputs, and makes the next action easier.
